Unsung heroines celebrates women’s courage and willingness for a better integration and independence in a society who frequently turns in a blind eye. This event, originally held during the International Women’s Day, allows these unsung heroines to shed light on their issues and their innovative solutions to solve them.
This event, built on talks, concerts, art exhibition and handicraft workshops, is an international cross-cultural platform to share the stories of these women refugees on social and political spheres.
Date: 13-16 April 2017
Location: Black Box, Publika
The funds raised during the event contribute to the development of new or long term projects to help the refugees through TANMA.
Unsung heroines is proud to be part of MAP Festival this year, an annual month-long art festival curated to cover various cultural disciplines.
