Exhibition Illustrating Realities of Migrants in Malaysia in the 21st Century
#combat2empower is a charity and fitness event that joins the cause of Tenaganita in protecting and empowering trafficked survivors.
Founded in 1991, Tenaganita is a Malaysian human rights organisation that promotes and protects the rights of migrants, refugees and trafficked persons in Malaysia. Tenaganita runs 2 24-hour hotlines and a shelter for trafficked women and children who have been abused and exploited in Malaysia. This shelter is non-discriminatory, and have been accepting individuals in need since 2006, and assisted over 800 women and children.
The shelter is not only a safe place for the women, but it also serves as a house of empowerment: to help them rebuild their lives.
As a non-profit organisation, Tenaganita relies on your contribution to keep the shelter running. All the proceeds raised from this event will be used to help Tenaganita in supporting and empowering these battered women and children.
#combat2empower is supported by individuals and corporations who will be coming together in creating awareness, and be enablers of the cause against abuse and exploitation.
